Lacey & Seth met many years ago at Big Sandy Camp in McGregor, Minnesota. Little did they know that one day they would be getting married there.
I met Lacey & Seth (not so long ago) when they started planning their wedding. I jumped at the opportunity to capture the love between these two. Their dedication and affection for one another is unlike any other. It was beautiful to see it culminate on such a perfect wedding day.
Their day started out by getting ready in the camp's bunk rooms. After a heartfelt prayer from each of their wedding parties, the couple met eyes for the first time that day as Lacey's dad walked her down the aisle. As their ceremony ensued, I couldn't help but reflect on how special it is that these two are wedding in the very same room where they spent many summers worshiping the Lord together.
After their ceremony concluded, we headed outside to take portraits of their family and bridal party. The camp's tall pines made everything else feel small and secluded. Soon, clouds started to roll in, and we became concerned that a storm was brewing. We quickly loaded our gear into our car, and Seth helped Lacey into their car, and the group of us drove a few minutes down the road to a scenic field surrounded by those same tall pines. Thankfully, the storm never came, so we had plenty of time to take some of the most dreamy portraits I've ever had the honor of taking.
Coming into the reception, the couple and their bridal party had great fun doing their grand entrance. Soon enough, dancing time came about. Their group had such fun tearing up the dance floor--I almost didn't want to steal the couple away for golden hour portraits. But unfortunately, the sun waits for no one, and the light was just lovely. So the couple and I headed out to capture a few more portraits.
What an honor it was to capture Lacey & Seth's dreamy summer camp wedding.
